Sr. Product Marketing Manager

As a Sr. Product Marketing Manager at Dasera, you will play a key role in planning and executing the product marketing strategy to ignite engagement with prospects and assist with retaining our customers.   

You will work closely with marketing, product management, industry analysts, sales, customers and partners, to deeply understand our target audience, their key security issues and the competitive landscape. This knowledge will empower you to define our unique value proposition then drive messaging, content creation, thought leadership, sales enablement and competitive analysis for the Dasera product.  And ultimately, establish Dasera as the clear leader in Data Security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish the unique value proposition and messaging for Dasera’s data security platform, with a clear understanding of the target markets and buyer personas
  • Author compelling, high-quality content, both at a business and a technical level, in a variety of formats including print, web, social media, and video
  • Launch product releases and collaborate with sales to execute marketing campaigns to deliver on awareness and pipeline targets
  • Enable the sales and channel teams to understand, present and become subject matter experts in Data Security
  • Spearhead our competitive analysis content with routine updates and trainings to sales  
  • Effectively work at building and executing plans that cross different functional groups, including product management, go to market, sales, and analyst relations
  • Represent the company in customer engagements and at events, to evangelize our point of view and be recognized as an expert in your industry

Experience and Skills:  Must Haves

  • 5 or more years of product marketing experience
  • 3+ years in cloud and/or enterprise security 
  • Creative thinker able to develop and deliver engaging presentations in a range of environments, from large internal teams, to industry conferences and customer briefings
  • Strong communicator with the ability to drive succinct messaging and positioning
  • Strong writing and PowerPoint creation skills
  • Experience in public speaking, hosting webinars, and delivering presentations to customers
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Experience as company spokesperson with press, analysts and on social media
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced startup environment and scale to accommodate rapid growth
  • Ability to travel up 20% of the time, covid permitting
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required

Experience and Skills:  Nice to haves

  • Knowledge of modern privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA and ePrivacy would be a nice to have
  • Highly collaborative, with an extremely high level of customer focus
  • Strong understanding of the cloud and/or data security landscape
